T5 Monster name - The Guessing Game

Seeing the silhouette, what do you think the name will be?

TRS seem to like their classic supernatural/legendary names:
Goliath - Biblical giant
Kraken - Nautical sea monster
Wraith - Vengeful spirit
Behemoth - Biblical monster

With that in mind I have a couple of potentials:
Shelob - Tolkien (maybe too on the nose)
Anansi - African Folktale (too obscure?)
Lamia - Child eater

What are your guesses?

I’ll guess, but it’s a huge stretch. Jorogumo, which is a spider-monster-person-thing in japanese folklore.

Either that, or John.

In all seriousness though, the names that have been given to monsters are like nicknames that natives have given them. If it’s a name that’s all that different from Creeper or Ghoul or that kind of level then I’d be surprised.

I did think Ghoul appropriate. Fits in with the creepiness of it… plus, it relates to death eating and undead so could be a good choice if there’s some parasitic abilities like the speculation.
