Smelling climbable surfaces

I noticed in a lot of videos that many monsters were not aware of which surfaces were climbable. Do you think adding a temporary (fades with effect) screen overlay effect when you sniff to either highlight climbable (or non-climbable surfaces) as a method to inform them before a failed attempt?
