Right, not so much actual PC building, and more wireless networking (which I haven’t touched, EVER): we’re getting new equipment, going from a modem+wireless router/switch combo to just a modem/switch/wireless router combo (we didn’t upgrade for a while, sush).
Thing is, we are looking to see if we can set up two separate WiFi networks. So with different names, different passwords, using the new all-in-one and the older seperate one, but using the same internet connection. If my preliminary research is correct, this should be possible, however, the two networks won’t ‘communicate’ (as in, printer connected to WiFi A won’t receive orders from phone connected to WIFI B), but this isn’t an issue for us.
Does somebody have decent guides for a network nitwit like me? I feel it isn’t as simple as plugging a Ethernet cable between the two and changing network names and passwords.
