I don’t agree at all…
The new mercy res shouldn’t not stick her into the ground.
She still can do those two insta res with her ult so that butterfly strategy of fluttering in rez one, fly out fly in and res another still exist.
But they are forcing the team to learn how to play a certain way (put correct in here) on how they should guard mercy more often…
problem is this change is forcing that dynamic and mercy is the one that really get hurt with it.
So I guess what I am trying to say, is that the creators of the game are trying to force the players to know good behavior in game, but since they have to handicap their healer to teach it, well its a lost cause.
Its like Rein… His best strat is to provide big walls, have his team behind him and move forward (less a flanker of course) then since the teams in comp are not doing that, they would create a gravity well for rein to his team to keep them in place. ^.^
but that’s what it feels like, it feels like it forcing certain types of play. (making the game a cookie cutter game of gameplay)
hmm, While I am not a constant Mercy Player ( I was about to be btw) I had no issues with here res ability ever… (sure the full team res was rough sometimes but it was personality) even though they nerfed her into the previous version, (one res can store with ult (basically still the same) and that 30 second cooldown was fine.
after all, any cooridinated team, could spot the res, and get a easy kill again even if mercy flew off.
Now, its just forcing other members on your team to play “safe” and that too me, strips the game of its personality.
(I will bet money that 2 second res time gets reduced to a more solid number like 1.33 seconds)
