(This is the basic appearance I am thinking of)

Usually, it’s the monster that’s always on the receiving end of crowd control. Getting slowed, getting harpooned, getting your sense of smell taken away…well, no longer. I thought a monster that dishes out tons of crowd control would be very interesting. Have the table turn on the hunters for a change. I thought the name Loki will fit in nice since he’s the god of all mischief and tricks to confuse and disorient humans.
A humanoid frog-like monster
Normal melee attacks, similar to Goliath’s
Health & Armor:
Slightly higher than Wraith’s
Similar to Goliath, Loki has three leaps as traversal. However, unlike Goliath, it can charge its traversals, allowing it to jump longer distance. While leaping, Loki drops little pool of green goo that the hunters can use to track the monster. However, unlike any other monsters, when Loki leaps at a wall or ceiling, it becomes stuck on the surface, allowing it to move freely as if on the ground. It leaves normal tracks while doing this. This should confuse the tracking hunters and allow for an interesting ambush.
Ability 1: Slime Skin
Loki covers its body with coat of slime. While coated, it takes reduced damage both to armor and health. Any melee attacks Loki dishes out while coated will slow the hunters and wildlife. When the duration runs out, the coating explodes, damaging and slowing nearby hunters and wildlife. Loki can reactivate the ability to detonate the coating early. Leveling up the ability will increase its duration, explosion damage and radius.
Ability 2: Bile Bomb
Loki gathers a thick ball of bile on its hand at throws it at a target location, damaging hunters and wildlife in the area. Targets closer to the center of impact takes greater damage. Hunters hit by the bomb gets covered by thick layer of bile, blinding the hunters until the sludge wears off (The player’s screen will get covered by green sludge, exactly like what happens with Boomers in L4D2). The hunters can still shoot and use their abilities while blinded. Leveling up the ability will increase its damage and radius of impact.
Ability 3: Toxic Cage
Loki pounces at a single target, trapping it in a gigantic bubble filled with toxic gas. This ability uses the same mechanism as a sneak attack. Hence, it has relatively short range. If it succeeds, the hunter or wildlife will become suppressed, taking poison damage until freed. However, the bubble has its own health and the fellow hunters have to bring it down to zero in order to free the trapped hunter. Once freed, the hunter will continuously take poison damage until the effect wears off. Even if a hunter becomes incapacitated while in the bubble, the bubble won’t break and continuously damage the fallen hunter. Loki can melee attack the trapped hunter or wildlife. Loki cannot trap more than one hunter or wildlife at a time. If it casts another toxic cage while another hunter or a wildlife is already trapped in a cage, the previous cage will break (Otherwise, it can trap all four hunters and that’ll be game over). Leveling up the ability will increase the bubble’s health and poison damage.
Ability 4: Slingshot
Loki shoots out tentacles of slime out at a target location, then slingshots toward the location. The tentacles must make contact with a surface in order for Loki to perform the slingshot. If the target location is a wall or a ceiling, Loki will stick to the surface after impact. Any hunters or wildlife near the point of impact will take damage - more as they are closer to the center. Any hunters or wildlife Loki comes in contact while slingshotting will be taken with Loki to the point of impact, taking damage. Leveling up the ability will increase its damage, radius, and distance.
