> Varys did not necessarily need to be in the Dorne scene story-wise.
> The Arya killing Walder scene could've been put into the season 7 pilot so that viewers will feel like a long time has passed and not be so surprised to find her in the center of Westeros already.
> This was apparently Varys' great plan. Seeking alliance with the "bad pussies" and the Tyrells. Olenna's son and grandchildren weren't dead yet by the time Varys left Meereen, so it makes you wonder whether the showrunners didn't even know what they were going to do with this storyline yet or Varys just had to be the one to come to Dorne.
I mean, it just feels weird sending Varys to Dorne, especially considering his travel schedule:
- Sail on a ship to Dorne (Westeros).
- Sail on a ship back to Meereen so you can look badass behind Dany in the final scene.
- Sail on that ship back to Westeros.
You could've just waited for Dany's arrival in Westeros, buddy.
I'm sorry but I just really, really didn't like the teleportation in the episode. It's killing me how easily they could've avoided it. The rest of the episode was great.
