I had a friend everytime he clicked Evolve Steam would say to his friend he is playing Evolve now but the game wasn’t starting.

Have you done the steam verify integrity of game cache?
And did it say 169 files are missing in order to download a 112 MB update?

#3

Yes i done it but didnt help.

#4

After you did it for the first time did it download few MB’s?

#5

No it didnt download something

#6

hmmm i’m pretty sure it should. Is this the first time you are trying to run the game?Or yesterday you could play just fine?
Or you bought the game today?

#7

I bought it yesterday and no i coundt play it yet

#8

Can you try putting in the launch options the command -autoconfig ?

Go to Steam/Evolve/Right-click/Properties/Set Launch Options and when the bar to type comes up copy and paste this.

-autoconfig

#9

tried but didnt helped :frowning:

#10

First of all i’d like you to know that you barely meet the minimum requirements.I played yesterday from a PC with GTX 650 and i had to put everything low/off and from 1920x1080 resolution i dropped it at 1366 in order to achieve only 30 fps.

Anyway this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to open it i think.

I’d reccommend a full re-install.Everyone from us who had steam,we had to verify our files through steam after the download. Then the verify would find 169 files missing to download again.
I hope you have a good internet and won’t take 2 days like some did

#11

I have a
I5-2500k 3.3Ghz
8 GB Ram
Nvidia GTX 560 TI
Windows 8.1 64Bit
I have a bad internet but i already tried to safe data and reinstalled it but didnt help.

#12

Yy i saw your specs from the log.
Did you completly deleted everything and then re-downloaded from steam?

#13

I used Steam backup and then deleted all game data.

#14

Yeah but Steam backup is backing up the same files.I’m talking about a corrupt download.Maybe you need to delete everything and re-download the whole deal.

#15

okay i will try
13 hours download time xD

#16

I feel ya.I had bad internet myself and upgraded the last couple of months.Anyway once you re-download the whole game remember to do the verify integrity first before launching the game.Good luck buddy

#17

At march we get better internet
okay i will try
Thanks for ur help.

#18

Just reply back to me when its done to let me know if it works or the problem still persists. We can contact the devs if that happens again

#19

Mine was doing that from Steam. i double click it on steam and it doesn’t do anything. What does it do when you try to run the game from the .exe file? in your steam/common/Bin64_SteamRetail folder?

#20

I the same…
